This is an exciting time in intellectual property law! The evolving cases of patent invalidity (KSR International v. Teleflex) , Sec. 271(f)'s extraterritoriality reach (Microsoft v. AT&T), and the USPTO's new claims and continuation rules are changing the landscape of patent law and patent prosecution. It seems the the coming years are going to bring a renewed focus on intellectual property and we are looking forward to participating in this evolving landscape. IPSO is focusing on three main areas:
1) Helping to educate our members on the study of intellectual property and information law. 2) Creating ties between our members and the law community at large. 3) Providing a springboard for discussion and participation in the changing environments of intellectual property and information law.
